Excursion to Yamnotri temple darshan. Early morning move towards Janakichatti (1:30 hrs), post arrival have breakfast thereafter we proceed for Darshan. YAMUNOTRI in the state of Uttarakhand is an important Hindu pilgrimage and one of the Dham in the Char Dham of Uttrakhand. Yamunotri temple is situated on the left bank of the holy river Yamuna. Highly revered as the origin of the majestic River Yamuna, Yamunotri is renowned for its glaciers, and thermal springs.

UTTARKASHI is much like Kashi of the plains. The town is located on the bank of river Bhagirathi, also known as Ganga before the confluence of Devprayag.
Full day excursion to Gangotri. En-route pass by Harsil Scenic Village. Visit Gangotri temple, Bhagirath rock and see Bhagirathi River. Night halt at Uttarkashi. Ganga emerges from Devprayag & exists at Haridwar. The source of this river is the Gangotri glacier, Satopanth glacier & Khatling glacier. Ganga comprises of SIX main streams- Alaknanda, Dhauliganga, Nandakini, Pindar, Mandakini & Bhagirathi.
After breakfast proceeds to Rudraprayag. En-route visit the Tehri Dam of Garhwal. Arrival at Sitapur in the evening. Night halt at Sitapur/Sersi.
RUDRAPRAYAG lies at the Sangam of Alaknanda & Mandakini, a rich variety of flora & fauna. TEHRI DAM is the tallest dam in India and one of the tallest in the world. It is a multi-purpose rock and earth-fill embankment dam on the Bhagirathi River near Tehri. SITAPUR falls on the Chardham route. It is close to Kedarnath.
Departure to Gauri Kund, the base camp of Kedarnath. Gauri Kund to Kedarnath (18 kms) is a trek. On Arrival at Kedarnath in the evening visit the famous Kedarnath temple and Shankaracharya Samadhi. Night halt at Kedarnath.
GAURI KUND is the commencement point of the trek of 18Kms to the sacred Shrine of Kedarnath. The place is named after Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva, the temple of Gauri is also situated here.
